Painful / Fun / Informative / Fun Weekend

Painful: The pain started approximatliy 10:45, which is when I usually wake up in time for my Applied Stats. class w/ The Kush. Instead of the usual drowsy feeling I usually feel when I awake, I was awoken by excruciating pain in my lower abdominal area, so bad that I couldn't really move out of bed for about an hour. After I got the strength to get up, I realized that was only able to walk hunched over like Quasimodo, or I would be in even more excruciating pain. I hobbled over to the SSB, and was checked immediatly into Urgent Care, where I spend a good 3 hours of my afternoon. The doctor (who was very good I might add) was not 100% sure what I was, but her best guess was that it was a precursor to a stoumach virus, but did a throat culture to rule out strep, or any other malicious beings. I was told to procure some Zantac in the time being, and in the time spend walking to Eckerd's, the pain started to go away, fulling dicipating once I had actually bought the Zantac. Weird stuff.....

Fun: Met up Bolivian Eric at Posse East for some drinking (Shiner and Live Oak, fuck yeah), and were promptly joined by his friend Billy for some good times and interesting discussion. Here is one question for everyone:

Given the following: 1) You have no weapons (except bare fist). 2) You are confined to a basketball court sized area. 3) You cannot make contact with the walls. 4) You can wear a protective cup for your crotch (guys only, I guess)......

What is the maximum number of 5-year-olds that you could sucessfully take on at once, give that they have had one day to prepare for you. They have no weapons either, and assume it is a random sample of all 5 year olds in the world.

Got your answer?

Ok, now, keeping that same number of children, and starting down from 100, what is the youngest age of "old-people" that you could sucessfully fight.

I went for 75, and 75 fyi.

Then we went to Billy's place for a while, where he treated us to MORE Live Oak on tap. Beautiful night.

Informative: Early Saturday night, me an one of my good friends/former RA, Mithun, traveled over to Westlake to Cristen's Dad's house to watch the movie Control Room. Along the way, we picked up a shitload of food from the Chick-fil-a that sucessfully evaded Mithun a few years ago. Damn suburban planning / strip malls. Anyway, Claire, Sarah, Agnes, Surya, and Kirk joined us for a damn good movie about the Arab news station Al-Jazeria. The best part, is that one of the main producers is coming to speak to us on Thursday! It's like the movie is coming to life for us. I can't wait. After the movie, we played with random 60's cloth patches and chilled out on a really nice deck outside. The best part was when Kristen's parents, particurally her dad, came back really wasted from a wine tasting event. Much laughs were had after his wife offers him a grape-flavored soda unkowingly to rehydrate. "No more grape products tonight please."

Fun: Met up Purvak, Amit (finally!), Patrick, and Ashwin at this party a few blocks from my place in North Campus. Apparently it was a BME party thrown to celebrate all those who took the MCAT that same day. Intersting point of the night include... Ashwin getting sick from drinking for the first time in his life (even though he just turned 21); Purvak getting completly wasted, being really fucking loud, and flashing his tits at people (yes, he is male); Daniel Wang being really trashed and spilling his drink, not once, but twice on my shirt (good thing it's an honors colloquim one, and I have like 4 more copies of it at home); Getting approached by a guy who commented about the Honors Colloquium shirt, and the came to realized that he lived next door to me in Jester 14th floor for those three days almost 5 years ago. I actually remembered his name (Zong, hey how many Zong's are there?) too. That was a really badass random encounter, I'm going to tell my old boss, the guy in charge of Colloquium about this. Oh, and I ran into Stephen Chen, one of Felipe's friends who almost lived with me, Felipe, and Gonzalo two years ago, but had to back out b/c of parent. Lucky guy. Oh and we disagree on whether Felipe is getting more or less crazy over time.;

Ok, I had my fun, now time to get productive. If you've actually read this far, damn, you rock.
